I just figured out today (with Boss-man's input) that I actually had the clones I was looking for two weeks ago, and have just been basically wasting time running around in circles since then.

I managed to pour two agarose gels and forget to put in the ethidium bromide (haha, it's hard to see the DNA under UV light if you don't add the dye, Karen). Then the gel I was cutting the band out of dropped on the floor and split in two. Then the other one dropped and just shattered. I've had the dropsies really bad for the last week... f-ing A, dude.

Last night I was going to post a "Lyrics of the Day" type post, but instead of one whole song, there were a bunch of lyrics from different songs. But when I got done and reread the whole post, it turns out that the results were intensely personal, even thought they weren't my own words. It was unnerving, actually. So I decided I would just keep it to myself.

That's it. Tonight is the last of the cleaning before Mom comes. w00t!
